Laws were tough for latin women where Mariana was from. Girls finished school when they were 11 years old. Boys continued on. From them girls went to classes on how to be the perfect wife and mother. After passing all those classes, your father was to choose who your husband would he. Then you would live happily ever after. Everyone except for Mariana. Mariana Vasquez was a 14 year old delinquent from the minute she snuck across the border. She was from Honduras. A country east of Mexico. Her, her younger brother and older sister were dropped off in Texas to fend for themselves. Mariana and Javier were very close so she decided to take care of him. Her sister Cecilia headed toward California. With Javier on her back and little money in her pocket, Mariana headed toward Miami. Both of them coming up from a fucked up history, will they both be able to work everything out, or will their past come back to haunt them.
