"I love how innocent you act, but I know you're not." **************************** My dad had given me a simple journal that I thought I'd never use. When I found out he died in a car crash, that next week, I decided to start writing all my feelings in it because I'm not really good at expressing them verbally. My journal was full of decent thoughts... Well some were decent, Until I met Dillon Taylor. He was the cocky, annoying, loud mouthed boy next door that wouldn't turn his music down if the queen of England walked in his room. So one night, I finished my diary entry and fell asleep. I left the window open because it was hot. Bad idea. I heard some fiddling in my room so I turned on my lamp. Only to see that annoying boy from next door's body was halfway out my room window-- with my diary in his hand.

Avery and Josh were complete oppisites. Josh was a little badass. Barely, passable grades, rude additude, tattoos, piercings, and a wall built so hard, not even Miley Cyrus's wrecking ball could tear it down. Avery, or Avy to her friends, was a goody- two shoes. Straight A student, nice to everyone, class president, cheerleading captain, and perfect daughter. Until Josh moved next door... She had come out the shower and her towel was off. Her favorite song came on and she started dancing. And Josh was at his window. And was staring at her birthday suit... ********* for clarification purposes.. i wrote this book when i was 13. it's been almost 7 years later now, i turn 20 this year (2020) more than half the book sucks but i'm too lazy to rewrite and edit it. i'm so sorry for anything cringey and inappropriate. i have no idea how it's gotten so popular throughout the years. many apologies. enjoy what you can ! lots of love. - AK ************* highest rankings so far 1 in bad boy next door ! 1 in teen drama ! 1 in teen romance !

~This is a rewrite of Slave to the Geek~ Rori Pena has been haunted by her family legacy all her life. But, that all would change as she decides to hide her family's growing wealth, and by the skin of her teeth, have a normal life. So, she dresses down and tries to stay out of public eye. As long as she can do this, she'll be able to attend public school with her two best friends, and do what every teenage girl would do. Go to prom, hang out with friends, go to parties, and so on. Of course, everything is much easier said than done. Alexander Bianchi has had a bad streak lately. Life been harder than normal. Of course, he still has to keep up with his high school heartthrob aesthetic. But keeping up appearances strains even the most well versed. How long can Alex keep up the leather, motorcycles, bad boy (cough fuccboi cough) vibes while also juggling three jobs and all the other stresses of high school. Especially after his estranged father's death leaves him with a debt to Pena's... So what happens when Alex starts to work at the Pena household and comes to close to Rori for her comfort. And all the walls she built around her family life start becoming undone, brick by brick. Will all hell break loose? What will happen when those two are thrown together in the most compromising situations? Will they get over their differences and work together or is pride too big to overcome? Maybe it will be just plain awkward? Remember, there is a fine line between love and hate.

This is the original, unedited version of Light as a Feather, Book #1. This book was the inspiration for the Hulu Original Series. The revised version is now available in bookstores throughout the USA & Canada from Simon Pulse. McKenna Brady thinks her junior year of high school is going to be the best ever when she's welcomed into the elite group of popular girls at Weeping Willow High School led by blonde, gorgeous Olivia Richmond. Prior to junior year, McKenna was known in her small town as the girl whose twin sister died in a tragic house fire, and she's overjoyed at the prospect of redefining her identity. She has a date to the Homecoming dance with Olivia's handsome older brother, and a good chance of being elected to student council. For the first time since McKenna's parents divorced, things are looking up. But everything changes the night of Olivia's Sweet Sixteen sleepover birthday party. Violet, the shy, mysterious new girl in town, suggests that the girls play a scary game called Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, during which Violet makes up elaborate stories about the future ways in which beautiful Olivia, brassy Candace, and athletic Mischa will die. The game unsettles McKenna because she's already escaped death once in her life, but she doesn't want to ruin her friends' fun. It's only a game, she reminds herself.
