Johnny Myers suffers from schizophrenia. Two days before his thirteenth birthday, his older sister, who was more of a best friend, committed suicide. Sam Moore is not exactly your average seventeen year old. His father walked out on his family when he was ten, his mother died in 9/11 and he takes care of his younger sister while his grandmother works thousands of shifts, day and night. Sam has the act of savior when he finds Johnny laying on the side of the road after a hit and run. But could friendship save Johnny from his terrors and past, or will he need something more?
