Some tips and tricks I've learned over the past 3(ish) years on this weird little website. Just because they worked for me doesn't mean they'll work for you, but I figured I'd put this out there anyway. Read it if you want, and please share things that have helped you! And yes, I made wattpad a verb in the title. Fight me.

Katy Simon's been hurt, betrayed and lied to. Intentionally or not, it's left her broken and damaged. She's changed. It hasn't been like one major event that has left her closed off and heartbroken. It has been the adding up of all these little things in her life since she was little. People that had supposedly had her back constantly betraying her; a consistent reminder in her head that if you showed yourself to people, they would pick out all our weaknesses and use them against you; it was human nature. Don't get me wrong, she still had friends, smiled, laughed; the normal stuff. But no matter what other people thought; no one knew her. They may've thought so but not even her best friends knew her... Maybe 30% of her. It wasn't something that she intentionally did or wanted to but over the years she'd learnt how to fake a smile, a laugh, a love, a personality... herself. So good she had almost even managed to trick herself. Would she ever be able to find that someone who would see past her facade and change this? Make her feel like she could open herself up and trust people. Someone that loved her for all her horrible weaknesses.
