Peyton Stiller learned in sixth grade that you cannot get through life without bending the rules a bit. In order to do so, she picked up a few little tricks to help her along the way. Now, being in high school, things have come easier to her because of the way she can easily persuade people with the bat of an eyelash, or letting her hair down from her ponytail and adding in a voice change. And also use, her looks to her advantage. But she prefers to stay in the shadows and out of popularity, frankly because she cannot stand the people. Not to mention her awkward self would stick out like a sore thumb. But when a day comes when she meets someone who is just as skilled at these little tricks as she is, things take a turn. Whether they are for the worst or not she doesn't know. And it doesn't help the situation that this person just so happens to be the most popular guy in the school and the biggest jerk alive. All she has to do is keep her cool, keep up with her family, handle her wacky best friend, and put up with the new entry in her life by using the methods of simple manipulation. Showmance: a romance/relationship that is started during the production of a play or musical. Very common in, but not limited to, high school shows. Len (short for Lennon) and Eric meet under interesting circumstances. She has just been roped into being her friend's "Girl Friday" (AKA assistant stage manager) and he was somehow convinced by his twin, Sophie, to do the sound design for their high school's production of Beauty and the Beast. United by their inability to understand musicals, the two help each other navigate the politics of the tech crew, which cast members to avoid, and the rules of showmances. Although neither had ever heard of the word, they learn it's just part of the package when they find themselves in one. And just because the show is obviously going to be a failure, does their relationship have to be? *cover by @worriedly*

Chris and Adeline Campbell were inseparable. Everybody wanted a brother like Chris and a girlfriend like Adeline. The only problem? Chris scares them all away. Chris was the star quarterback on his high school team. He was one of the best players in the state. That's why Julian Butler was such a threat to him. Not only was he the best quarterback on Ridgewood's rivaling school, but just as good at football as Chris is. Adeline had never met Julian and never understood why the two hated each other. But after Adeline and Julian meet, Julian is determined to makes Adeline his. Not because she was the best way to get under Chris' skin, but because he was already falling for her.

Elliot and Julia have a complicated relationship. Since they met in the seventh grade, the only heart-to-heart conversations they've had have been strictly over text. But they don't mind this lack of intimacy. If anything, they enjoy it. Don't think that this lack of heart-to-heart conversations mean they haven't had some, how should we say, interesting moments. Such as when Julia lost her virginity to Elliot. Yes, you read that correctly. It's a long story. It was just one time. Actually, it was four times. In one night. Once in the morning too. But it was just on one occasion. Okay, two occasions. It's a really really long story. Basically this is just a long story of two people with a complicated, never fully defined, relationship.
