Azealia has a special gift. She’s known since she was little. She can receive messages that change lives, sometimes even hers. Fortunately, Azealia can control this gift, only permitting the determining messages to take over her mind when she senses that they are urgent. But that’s very rare; she is usually too busy being fond of mermaids or restyling her Rapunzel-like rainbow hair to worry about the gift. She is essentially a regular person. That’s only until she uses her gift again on the Medusan Olympic cruise ship that her parents rented for the summer. This message is indeed urgent, and Azealia knows that all too well. The power is now in her hands to either save two—or maybe even more—lives, or ignore it because she doesn’t like the lives she can save. She expects herself to go with the right decision…but what if she doesn’t have a choice? What if Azealia must take the alternative and it is not even in her hands? One thing or another, she is desperate to get the situation under control. But from this situation blooms many others, and Azealia is not sure her life can ever be normal again. Not that it ever was.

The not-so-safe haven of Chattanooga, Tennessee has always been normal territory for Geneva. But as an unproductive, boring year for her comes to an end, everything she believes in is shattered to the point that she can't even be sure that her first name is real. Life swings her from one side to the next, and suddenly she is swung into the same place as five other innocent human beings. Their participation in what seems to be a sick game begins once December arrives, but behind the scenes, things have been changing all along. How long will it take for them to discover who they should point fingers at? Who will find out first, and will he help the others or save himself? Before salvation, though, you must acknowledge that you need to be saved. In these youths' case, it's almost too late for epiphanies. (Sequel, Blue Pencil Dolls, is on my page.)

1996 just before the clock struck twelve that's when I officially met Rakim. And we entered the new year together. 1997 was a special year, for both me and Rakim. Everybody knew Rocky, but never bothered to know Rakim. 1997 was a year of heartbreak and hardships. I told my deepest secrets and my biggest fears. So he did the same. 1997 was the year of big mistakes, but I can never make myself regret them. That's only cause I spent 365 days with him. 1997 was the year I gave my heart and my soul to Rakim. And I knew he cherished every moment of it. Still, somewhere in the darkness something came to the light. 1997 was the year I let go of him and entered 1998 with new beginnings and without Rakim.

Book 2 They say love is a hell of an addiction. More powerful than any drug, more dangerous than any force hatred is capable of. Love makes you blind, intoxicated and worse than anything else unbalanced beyond measure. Love is titling off the edge of a cliff, closed eyed and weight unleveled and blindly trusting your partner to save you every time without a flinch or second thought. Love is the connection, the rope that lies in your partners hand and keeps you from falling.. too deep or too far from beyond their reach. Love is the intimacy of knowing when to say when.. when to give up... when the rope has been pulled too many times, weakened far over repairing. Love is also the act of never letting go so once your partner pulls one last time, the rope strings apart and continues falling, you fall unapologetically right behind them. --- Chance and Devyn's love wasn't unexpected and neither was chaos that followed. Nothing in their lives has ever been expected yet now they strive to change that on a mission to vindicate or terminate any dangers or unknowns of their pasts. This is life or death for them, failure isn't an option. Demons from the past emerge, secrets began to unravel, lies are told, heads will roll, loyalties and promises will be broken, and the worst of their nightmares come true. No one said it would ever be easy. Welcome to The Fighter's Club: Survival of the Fittest.
