"Nice fighting out there. You are finally getting better." She joked. He smiled and rolled his eyes, "Thanks." She grinned, "Yah, well soon you'll be good enough to challenge me." She baited. He laughed, "I would challenge you now, but I'm all tuckered out." She looked down at her intricate blade, inspecting it, "Sure...you can use that excuse." She retorted as sly smile spread across her face. Thea and Nikandros are the newest assassin recruits in their camp and are eager to be accepted. But what happens when their first mission doesn't go the way they planned? This story is set in Middle-Earth in a time before The Hobbit or The Lord of The Rings took place. *Notice* I do not own or take credit for any of J.R.R. Tolkien's characters or works.

"Saoirse, stop breathing so loudly," Draco ordered, turning away from his sister as far as he could. Saoirse frowned, giving up and scooting over to the far side of the seat again. He rolled his eyes and stared out the window of the compartment. A few moments later, the siblings' heads shot up as they heard the door slide open. "Draco!" a boy greeted, strutting in and taking a seat beside her. The other boy and girl with him strode into the room and took a seat across from them. "Theo," Draco acknowledged. "Blaise, Pansy." "How was your summer, Draky?" Pansy asked flirtatiously. "Pansy, not right now." "Who's this pipsqueak?" Theo asked beside her, grinning. "Oh, that's Saoirse. Don't pay attention to her, she's going into her first year." Saoirse inhaled sharply, standing up and walking out the compartment. "What's wrong with her?" she heard Blaise ask as she walked away. "Don't know. She hasn't spoken a word in her life. My parents say she's mute, but I think she's just too dumb to speak English."

A "What if..." story What if whenever the hobbits arrived at Bree Strider was not the only one waiting for them? What if Boromir, Legolas, and Gimli were there too? What if they had known each other before the events of Lord of the Rings? What if some events that were supposed take place never happened? Disclamer: I do not own the Lord of the Rings characters, places, or some events that will take place in this story. Rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action, violence, and mega Feelz
