Fairy tales are meant to be rewritten, she thinks and can't suppress a smirk as she decides they'll be 'Snow White and the Grim Reaper' from now on; their business is grim enough - necessary, but grim all the same. There needs to be a little humor in it somewhere - not that that'd stop him from rolling his eyes in annoyance.

A thoroughly disagreeable protagonist tells the story of what may be the two most eventful months of his life. A cynic and misanthrope he may be, and pathologically fickle at that - but a liar? Watch John Doe's reality slowly come apart as a sudden death gives rise to a question he never had to ask himself before, namely which reliably tells the truth - his very own mind or the people around him.
