Lapis Lazuli and Peridot Greene did not have what you would call a "friendship." Lapis would use Peridot for homework and cheated off her for test grades and in exchange, Peridot would get protection. They weren't really friends, more like partners. However, after an incorrect ingredient is used in a chemistry class, Lapis starts getting strange feelings for the small nerd. Feelings that extend far beyond friendship.

Peridot lives alone in Sauðárkrókur, Iceland. A particularly rough snowstorm knocks out the signal for her TV, interrupting the new episode of Camp Pining Hearts. Frustrated, she heads outside to try and knock some sense into her busted antennae. But when she rounds the corner of her domicile, an unexpected visitor lays face down in the snow.

She just wanted to be a normal girl going to a normal school with normal friends, living a normal life. However, this all changes when kidnap and violence enter the picture, initiated by none other than the cold heartless 'Lapis Lazuli'. This criminal vowed to never care about anyone ever again. But will her motives change? Will a nerdy highschool student be able to survive this mess, or will she die at the hands of one of the most dangerous gang leaders around?
