Started off as a late night blurb but I've gotten so many wonderful responses so I am doing my best to get the story rolling. Starts off as a drunk night of bonding & starts to developing into a friendship neither expected.

Raven shakes her head and turns back to Octavia, propping her elbows up on the table and giving the girl her full attention. "So what is it, tiny? You part of the dead parents club?" Octavia tenses, the water glass in her hand shakes and she quickly sets it back down. "Raven," Indra hisses, her fork clattering against the plate. Parentless, 10 year old Raven is a master of theft and does what she needs to survive. 10 years later, she meets Octavia again, who was the only person who showed compassion for her despite her criminal ways growing up. An Octaven story along with Clexa as well (Clexa starts in Chapter 5).

"You're allowed to be sad," Octavia repeats herself. She watches as Raven's eyes land on the necklace she's hung up, and she sees the pain in the girl's face. "You can't just keep hiding from it, Raven." "Yeah?" Raven's voice is cold again and she narrows her eyes. "And how would you know? You haven't even been here." Octavia continues to take it, knowing the verbal blows are well deserved. She feels infinitely small in that moment. In finding a problem that she can't fix on her own, she feels powerless. All she can do is shrug, clasp her hands together, and look down at the ground. "Doesn't mean I stopped caring." or A Non-AU in which Octavia and Raven have a whole lot of history.
