The 12 hour period, named The Purge, allows anyone to commit and crime....including murder. On this particular Purge, one family is troubled with a helpless man seeking shelter in their house as a gang of odd, masked people come to collect him. Refusing to give him up, the family must fight or face the worst consequence; death.
