Did you ever have the urge to write a cliche story? Did you attempt it? Did you realize that you were gonna fuck it up? Well, I have news for you. This also tells you why you shouldn't say, "I'm so average looking," when your character is clearly not. Try saying instead, "I don't find myself that attractive. My lip juts out too much, my hips are slightly too wide, my left tooth is slightly crooked, and I notice these things every time I look in a mirror," Or why are they call a bad boy when he didn't do anything bad? The problem for highbloods was that it was incredibly hard to find a kismesis or matesprit that could live as long as you. Even if the hemospectrum difference wasn't challenge enough, the thought of a quadrantmate dying was enough to turn most highbloods away from any type of romance. The tales told to wrigglers were of trolls beating their blood colors and living together happily for thousands of sweeps. Unfortunately for Eridan and Sollux, life is not a fairy tale, and nothing lasts forever.
