Summer is here and for their sixth grade graduation, the hamilsquad is taking a field trip! A road-trip throughout the U.S! Two RV's, one fed up teacher, and lots of drama lead to an amazing two weeks. (In this book, a lot of the events in the original academy book never happened, including the Reynolds affair and John's accident)

After Eliza reads the Reynolds pamphlet she and Alexander get into a fight, but when Alexander says something he doesn't mean he's sent to a universe several years in the future in which she gave up on him. She's engaged to another man, and seemingly happy. Will he be able to win her back, or has he lost his Eliza for good?
