"No, please. DON'T!" My eight year old self begged, grabbing onto his wrist. All the big kids looked at me like i grew three heads. Apparently they don't believe in The Guardians, but I do. I mean, I'm eight years old! "Why not, Em? No one around here believes in me. They only believe in the other four." He replied, almost yelling. My face immeadietly fell. He should know not to yell at a eight year old! shot his face up and looked into my eyes. I noticed tears. His face softened a bit the longer he looked at me, but he was still waiting for my input. I reached my small nimble fingers up to his cold pale face to wipe the tears away, as I stammered out "I-I don't want you to leave. I'll miss you too m-much." "I need to leave, Emma. No one is believing in me" "I believe in you! I believe..." Tears started streaming down my face at this point. I would just miss him so much! "Please don't cry, Em." He hugged me, crying more then I ever saw him cry. Heck! I've never seen him cry! "I-I just have to leave..." He trailed off, trying not to make me cry anymore. "Promise you wont forget me? And you'll come back?" I asked, my voice cracking. He wiped my tears away and smiled a sad smile. "Promise" He held out his pinky and I lightly giggled, making his sad smile grow wider and happier. I held my pinky to his, and we pinky sweared. We looked eachother in the eyes and smiled. He was still crying, as was I.With one last hug, and a kiss on the forehead, he held up his staff and flew to the North Pole. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the day I lost my one and only friend.
