Annelies "Annie" de Vries, 35, autistic photographer and illustrator, cousin of Nyck de Vries, lifelong family friend of Max Verstappen, and best friend of Nico Hülkenberg. She is a survivor of sexual assault in her early twenties, and has spent the last decade quietly rebuilding her life and learning how to feel safe in her own skin again. A long-time fan of Formula 1, she has returned to the paddock-her first time in years-not for fame or glamour, but for healing.
Still dealing with the compexities of trauma, touch, and trust, Annie is guarded but curious. She has always had quiet crushes on Daniel Ricciardo and Charles Leclerc, but never imagined either of them would notice her.
Until Daniel does.
A brief but meaningful exchange in Monza sets something stirring inside Annie-a possibility she never thought she'd feel again: that someone might see her not as broken, but as whole.
