Each human now possesses one of the four elements of nature: fire, water, air, earth - earning the name Elemental. To learn how to control the element, they go through training academies, to among other things find their elemental partner. Here's where we meet Breeze, a Junior-Elemental controlling the element of air, still struggling with putting his right emotions when connecting to the element. Taunted by his older brother Rain, and his Elemental partner Ember, the insecurity within takes control of his element. When Eira was seven, she was involved in a car crash that left her mother dead and her with no memories of the incident. Therefore, it's impossible for her to realize that she has been chosen to succeed her mother as the last 'Ice Elemental', one of six guardians with the power to control specific elements that keeps everything from teetering into chaos. Nine years later, now a student in high school in Snowspell Wisconsin, her dad has secretly trained her to blend in and be 'invisible' amongst her peers. That becomes much more difficult for her when she unwittingly begins to develop special abilities in front of everyone in her high school cafeteria, including Alexander, a mysterious new student with a strange tattoo on his ear, a hidden ability to teleport, and a keen interest in the necklace given to her by her mom right before she died. Eira learns that she is being protected from anyone or anything that may do her harm and it's not long before an evil entity with an army of dark souls, (including her mother's) knows exactly who and where she is. With the dark entity's army, the "Achlys" unrelenting in their search and closing in, Eira and Alexander escape into seclusion. Confused, unprepared and hunted by an army of darkness that would just as soon as kill her as capture her, Eira must quickly mature and develop into the Elemental power she was destined to become or she and those she loves may face the same fate that her mother did years ago.

Five Elements. One school. In a world unknown to man, there is a place called Dimicel. Each person who lives here controls one of the five elements- air, fire, earth, animal, and water. 300 years ago Dimicel was ravaged by war, but now is a thriving and successful civilization. From ages 11 to 18, every child must attend Dimicel's School for Elements, where students live during the school year and go home for the summer. Ramaya Naciat, an air element going into her fourth year of schooling, is expecting yet another boring, typical two semesters. She brings with her only a suitcase, her wits, and her strength (oh, and her little sister). The year unravels much differently than ones past, and Ramaya, her sister, and her friends will be tested, share laughs, shed tears, fall in love, and discover things hidden since times of war. Crystal has known she was different from other children ever since her 15th birthday passed and still had not gotten her powers. Oh yes. You must be confused. Although this planet may also be called Earth, all first-born children have a special power- be it being a Psychic, being able to fly, extremely smart and others. All first-borns discover their powers before the age of 15. Some may be extremely lucky, discovering their powers at the mere age of 3 or 4. Crystal is a special case, and for that, people mock her.
