On August 17, 2008, a diary that I had been writing over the course of the summer traveled from my hands into the hands of Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. This is a fiction written about that diary.

"I loved his mouth; his thin pink lips that so often curled up at the corners to reveal his amazing pearly whites. The same lips that whispered my name softly while those wonderful teeth grazed my earlobe on drunken nights at friends’, when he wanted to get my attention to take him home to bed. My stomach clenched at the memories. The memories of Tyler’s lips on mine after stumbling through his apartment door. The memories of his chest pressed against me; his heart beating so hard against his rib cage I couldn’t tell if it was his or mine. The memories of him pushing me backwards onto his bed as he crawled onto me; hungrily dragging his teeth across the sensitive spot on my neck that he only remembered when he had whiskey on his breath. The memories that only I held every morning after, when Tyler woke up with a pounding headache, hoarsely asking me what had happened the night before.
