Dr. Magnus Reynolds is not a man easily spooked, and neither is his newest accomplice, nineteen-year-old Edgar, fresh out of boarding school and into Reynolds's criminal underworld. Watching her own back has always been the case for Eliza -- but what about Ava? While this was meant as a sequel to mine and @amaryll28's story Nowhere Is Final, it was primarily written as a bit of a laugh, so please don't take it too seriously, because I sure as hell didn't! The title, in case anyone picked up on it, is a play on James Patterson's first Maximum Ride story, The Angel Experiment -- for no better than because I thought the idea of arbitrarily bird-winged creatures and pointlessly evil scientists was (somewhat) apt and (somewhat) hilarious.
