It was my mother's scream from downstairs but only after even my 5 year old self could understood as the sound of a gunshot! This scared me to the bone as i clearly could understand something was terribly wrong and what ever was happening to my parents, I was next. I was confused but knew i had to do something to save myself. I quickly collected my trembling self and hid in the closet behind my bed. It used to be my favourite hiding place when me and my brother Xavier played hide and seek because it was concealed mostly by the huge bed and bedpost. Time seemed to never pass by in that closet.
