When you're listening to random 50's music and have a brainwave for a Stucky fic (which is dumb because they both would have been in their respective ice way a good 5 years before any of these songs came out) Anyway, yeah, soldiers in the war used to have pictures with them of a loved one that they'd take out and look at to remind them what and who they were fighting for. This was often their girlfriend. I remembered this while listening to the musc and wondered... who would be in Bucky's picture? Bucky didn't have just one girl. He'd been on many dates but didn't have a solid girlfriend. Steve's picture was Peggy but who would be in Bucky's? This is subtle Stucky fluff and is just adorable and I hope you like it as much as I liked writing it. Set before Bucky knows that Steve has got into the army and become Cap and before Bucky gets captured by hydra. Also my I say that old timey American slang is so cute!
