An extended epilogue to Mockingjay. Katniss has finally admitted her true love for Peeta and has sealed this confession by moving in with him. At first, the transition is smooth and effortless. Though, as the memories slowly return, how will Katniss handle it? Also, how will Peeta deal with his moments of fighting terror from the capitals hijacking? Unlike many fan fictions of this epilogue, I will not write a perfect love story for Peeta and Katniss where they find themselves engaged and their only problem in the world is planning a wedding. No, just like the books, I can only imagine their love continuing to grow but hit it's rough patches as well. My goal is to make this story genuine and realistic and true to the original books as I can. Especially to not dismiss the facts that they both lost everyone they love, but each other. When our eyes met, the memories all came rushing back. From throwing her the bread to saying goodbye at the Lightening Tree to the red plaid dress on the first day of Kindergarten. I remembered it all so much clearer, the shiny memories seemed to fade to so much dimmer terrors. But she's nearly dead. How can I convince her to go on, that life is still worth living. How can I reignite the fire that burns in the eyes of Katniss Everdeen, the girl who was on fire, without getting burned in the process. (My second After Mockingjay story. I just want to make one a little more true to the books. This is not discontinuing Help Me Make It Through The Night and Here I Go Again. I just want to write a different view of what could have happened.)

I wonder why I'm still here? I have no one, Haymitch is always passing out, Peeta is in the Capitol thinking I'm a mutt and my mom left me, leaving just a note. I've stopped doing anything it's like I'm frozen in time. I think about the war or should I say rebellion, the lives I took especially my loved ones, especially Peeta. I see my next door light turn on in someone's room, Peeta's room. We both look at each other, making eye contact but swiftly looking away. I wonder if he's still here, the Peeta I know, I wonder if he's still here with me... Xx Forevalark xX
