This story is based off of an anime that was never finished. Since I was so excited about the anime, I was a little down when they said they stopped making it. I know I'm not the only one that was down when we got the news, so I'm going to write a story that hopefully relates to what they were going for when they started making it.

The Special Ones are gifted... The Special Ones are unique... The Special Ones are powerful... The Special Ones are on the run. An underground lab has kidnapped ten unfortunate children and given each of them gifts. These children are known as The Special Ones. The Special Ones grew up in that wretched lab, but one day they all escape. Now they have to find a way to make a living in a world they've never seen before.

Jonathan Smith, the scarred boy from North Carolina. After him and his mother escape from his father's abusive clutches, they run away to Canada where he will not find them. Jon is enrolled in the local school as a senior. Evan Fong, the resident bad boy. Everyone either worships the ground he walks on or loathes his guts. He's a softie at heart, but has 'friends' who are constantly peer pressuring him into being someone he's not. Jonathan finds his online friend Vanoss at this school, and discovers that he's not all sunshine and rainbows. Evan doesn't want to bully the new kid, he has an uncanny resemblance to an old friend of his... Trigger warnings: Self harm, bullying, peer pressure, kidnapping and child abuse.
