I groan in pain as the metal claws deeper into my wrists. He bends down to my level and whispers in my ear, "Sweetheart, don't struggle, it's only gonna make it worse." I shiver in disgust as his repulsive breath his my ear and neck. I answer, "You will regret this." But it comes out all muffled because of the duck tape covering my mouth. He only smirks. "Smile, okay? You're on tv." He turns and points to the camera pointing in my direction. When did that get there? That's when I start crying. He chuckles with the satisfaction of my suffering. When will my hero come and save me?

"But, I've never really kept those promises." He looks down, ashamed of admitting the words that are rolling off his tongue. "I've promised that I would never lie to you," he says, looking up, "look where that got us, though. I've also promised you I'd always love you," he frowns. "Unfortunately, I broke that one too." "Jon..." I frown at him. Why is he doing this? He's only hurting himself. Jon's never the one to ever talk about his feelings like this, especially the ones that happened a year ago. We each swore to each other that we wouldn't talk about what happened to us. Never. "No, Chloe, I need to say this." He grabs one of my hands. "There's just one promise that I need to swear to you." He digs in his pocket with his other hand. He pulls out a small, black box. "Jon?" I gasp, my free hand flying to my mouth. "What are you doing?" "Look," he chuckles at my reaction, "it's not what you think." My eyes grow wide and I slip my hand away from his. "What are you talking about?" His nervous expression turns into a panicked one. "No! Chloe, it's nothing bad. I'm just saying that it's not a wedding ring." "Oh," I frown, looking at the tiny box in his large hand. "What is it then?"

"I loved you, I did. I know we had something special, but I can't feel it anymore. It's just not there, and I'm sorry, I really am. But I think you should move on." He says looking sad and avoiding my eyes. I sigh. I need to seem sad, I knew this was going to happen. This was just part of my lovely plan. "I think you can't just get rid of those feelings in a matter of months, I think you used me," I say, trying to keep my mouth from smiling at the sudden release of being strangled by Mr. Ambrose.
