Dit verhaal word geschreven vanuit de ik-vorm van Aurora Merrill, zij is woonachtig in District 7 en heeft het daar enorm naar haar zin, haar gezin woont in één van de beste huizen van het gehele district en ze heeft de beste vrienden die ze zich kan wensen. Maar dan beginnen de problemen de kop op te drukken. Lukt het haar om haar hoofd erbij te houden? om zich goed en wel door alle problemen te loodsen die ze tegenkomt ? * Het verhaal van Katniss is zeg maar nooit gebeurd, het Capitool is nog steeds zo vrolijk als altijd, alleen dan wel met totaal andere personages, geen enkel personage uit de orginele hunger games komt in mijn verhaal voor, enkel de benamingen en sommige wezens en er zijn zelfs een aantal veranderingen geheel buiten de bekende hunger games om.
