And yet, when he found he was to be killed by Ichigo, the hero, unlike his fellow comrades, he didn't curse, nor was he bitter. He simply...accepted it. Why was a major villain so empty? Why didn't he delight in inflicting pain like his comrades? This was simply because of his past. His past, which he couldn't remember, even in his last moments of existence. It was his past that caused him to become empty. And so Death gave him a second chance.
