Competing for her own life in the harsh pine forest, Johanna is fighting with the last breath in her body, determined to make it back home, but to whom?

In the nation of Panem, each year one boy and one girl from each of the twelve districts are chosen to take part in a televised death match. Twenty three will die, and only one will come out. When 16 year old Johanna Mason is chosen to be District 7's female tribute in the 71st Annual Hunger Games, her whole world comes crashing down around her. Her family has already given up on her, seeing her as good as dead, and she is forced to make a promise she's not sure she can keep. Over the next few weeks, she is forced to deal with betrayal, death, and must learn how to survive. But she has a plan, and she's determined to get out alive.

Johanna Mason was the female tribute in either the 71st or 72nd Hunger Games. She was then reaped into the 3rd Quarter Quell, and was in alliance with Wiress,Beetee,Finnick,Peeta and Katniss. Before the Games had commenced, Haymitch gathered a couple of the tributes that he thought would be a good alliance towards Katniss, and told them the plan of their escape out of the arena, Johanna was one of them, but unfortunately the plan didn't go to plan when the escape was happening, she was captured by the capitol before she could make it to the hovercraft, and the rest you will have to read to find out.
