Mark was kind of an outcast. Sure, he has a few friends and he gets along well with others, but no one really wanted to get to know him. They called him a "freak." Everyone avoided him, even the teachers kept their distance, claiming he practically radiated trouble. In this town, everything new was seen as something dangerous and threatening. Sean tried to stay away from the others. He didn't want to be here. He didn't want to stay. Coming to his hotel after the first day of Pax East, Jack disappears under mysterious circumstances and it's up to Mark to find him, but his loyalty to his friend is tested as he becomes entangled in a crime circle of horrible, wealthy medical psychos with a lack of mercy and a determination to create immortality and an unlimited supply of not so willing test subjects.
