We weren't just dying, we were dying out. Going extinct. In an effort to save us all, a bunch of doctors with fancy PHDs created a virus designed to enhance our DNA just enough to uncoil the DNA of the plague that was killing us all. But in some of us, a gene mutated. There was a trisomy on some chromosome. I don't know the details. All I know is they released a virus to cure us. It cured some of us more than others. And now... Well now I have powers. Highest rankings: #33 in viral #97 in Science Fiction #58 in Biology

"We all wear masks, and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing some of our own skin." - André Berthiaume. Unfortunately, when the Invisible Hand calls himself a super villain, he means it. He is totally, irrevocably, 100% evil. Even though he does stupid things to get a girl to laugh... Even though he took her to Iceland to see the Northern Lights... Even though he saved her life not once, but twice... He still dropped her off the Chrysler Building and left her to die. That girl was me. COMPLETE #1 in Fantasy #1 in Adventure #1 in Historical Fiction ---------- Sometimes, believing helps us to see truth. Other times, we need a little evidence to believe. But there is truth behind everything; every false manoeuvre, ever little lie...a small piece of truth is hidden. Just like truth is wound into legends too. Growing up best friend to the future King, Arabelle never really thought her life could go wrong. Whenever she wanted something, or needed something, she would get it. Then she lost her father at a young age and Arabelle was forced into a world of dresses, balls, and lies. Being a tomboy, Arabelle would have rather been out on her horse doing archery practice with her brothers. When Arabelle gets curious and sneaks into a forbidden area of the castle, she discovers a deadly secret: her bloodline is sacred, dating back to a legend surrounded by the one thing she knows not to be true. Unsure what to do, she gets caught up in a series of events that lead to her being hidden and whisked away from the only familiar place she knew. After making some unlikely allies, Arabelle sets off on a journey to find the legend of the last dragon egg. Fate has something big in store for her; will she be able to withstand the pressure of it all? There is one thing Arabelle needs to learn to survive this new place... Some things are more than a legend. ---------- © Isabella Espe 2013 - 2019 This is a work of fiction. Briar Blue a teenage spy for the Agency of Elite Spies is the best of the best. She is sent on a rescue mission that has yet to be completed at a place where a previous double crossing spy lives. But when she goes on this mission Briar may find herself in need of a rescue, or she find that she may not want to be rescued. Both of them were exhausted but neither backed down. Briar threw another quick punch at his head, moving swiftly as so to avoid any counter moves, but Adrian delivered a strong fan kick to her stomach, sending her into a wall. She was doubled over struggling for breath so he took the opportunity. He pinned her against the wall, his arm locked around her wrists above her head. She gasped for air as she struggled to get out of his grip. "Give up yet?" he taunted. She glared at him, her eyes full of hatred, and scoffed. "I've hardly even broken a sweat." *Book one of the Beauty/ Beast Series*
