He helps her out when her missions don't go the way they planned, which doesn't happen too often. She teaches him how to be a good spy, although that isn't the intention when they start the lessons. And they become very close, just as close as true siblings, in fact. So when Natasha finds herself in a complicated position during the Avengers' Civil War, Percy decides to interfere. And the Avengers are extremely surprised when they meet Natasha's younger brother. Plans are made and set in motion, alliances are completely misconstrued, friendships are tested and broken, and the two siblings find themselves on their own side against the world. However, there's something bigger in the works for the Avengers, and they'll need all the help they can get to face it. Including the two green-eyed siblings in everything but blood. This is largely Marvel canon compliant up until Captain America: Civil War, with Percy's interaction with Natasha being a background to the PJO books. When Hiccup tried to show the village that they didn't have to fight dragons, his father ruined it. When the Monstrous Nightmare was back under control, Hiccup looked at Astrid. She nodded, and Hiccup and Toothless flew off into the unknown. 3 years later, Hiccup and Toothless are doing just fine, but always check up on Astrid to make sure that she's ok. Meanwhile, Stoick still doesn't accept the dragons, and turns against Astrid.

Astrid is a Sophomore in high-school, living in the historic city of Berk. Her grades are failing and she has two options: find a tutor and possibly destroy her reputation as the most popular girl in school, or be assigned one and never play a school sport again. Little does Astrid know, that an option three is going to present itself soon. One day on her way home from school a handsome but gimpy stranger runs out of an alley and knocks her over. This stranger is quickly followed by three men in black suits who are asking if anyone has seen the boy. A week later Astrid manages to locate the boy and she confronts him about his identity. Turns out this gimpy boy's name is Hiccup, and he is under the constant protection of the FBI. See, Hiccup is a technological genius and the worlds greatest hacker, he is being hunted by Gang Lords so that they may posses his genius and use it for evil purposes. That's not even mentioning the dragon he is protecting after it was thawed out of an iceberg. Maybe this Genius is just what Astrid needs, and maybe he needs her just as much. Who else could successfully keep him out of trouble? Certainly not the FBI!
