*CURRENTLY EDITING! This version may or may not contain harmful stereotypes and I had been meaning to revise them and change them so better messages are communicated. Also, chapter numbers may be repeated due to newer chapters that I added after originally finishing the story. Thank u!* Owen Watson isn't what others consider a people's person. Introverted and bookish as he is, Owen is known to be grouchy and easily annoyed, especially with people who treat him as someone who is only defined by their disability. He was in a wheelchair, but he was fine anyway. Being in one means standing out, and one of the things Owen hates the most is attention. He just wants to sit back in the shadows with a good book. Everything changed when Athena Calimeris stumbled into his life and made things more complicated. Athena is your typical, bubbly, girl next door. Child at heart, people wouldn't think twice to know that she's a former child prodigy. Though her recent past tells a different story, she is as fragile as any other person can be despite her playful, sunny personality. Due to a not-so typical meeting, Owen and Athena aren't exactly instant partners in crime. With a little sprinkle of blossoming friendship and a tiny pinch of eye rolling, falling for the other might seem impossible, but not entirely.

I appreciated the fact that you not only focused on what it is like to have a mental illness, but also how mental illness can have a ripple effect on friends and family; and how the journey isn't always one of smooth sailing." - @CreativeBibliophile "Wow, this was written so exceptionally well. Samara comes closer to me, now studying my face. Her eyes are wandering all over my facial features. I contort my face in confusion at her weird stares, "Umm, hey--" "Listen, can you wear my wedding dress and be a bride at my place?" She questions. Ec- excuse me? I give her a long stare. I think she is joking and would burst into laughter any minute...but she doesn't. Her face has no trace of humour. "What?" I quirk up my brow. "You have to be a bride at my place." She repeats with no hesitation. Cold shiver trickles through me. ... 18 years old Sanaya Frances, grew up in an orphanage, is finding ways to earn more to gather money for her college tuition fee. She gets a chance to work as a house cook for Hobsons - one of the richest families in New York City. At the job interview she finds that Hobsons's second son, Ashar Hobsons is getting married within a month. On the wedding day, the bride disappears, asks Sanaya to be at her place until she returns. The real bride hides Sanaya's face with a veil, so that no one can recognize the different face. She comes back, but it was too late. The rings were already EXCHANGED. 25 years old, Ashar Hobsons, a successful businessman, decides to marry his childhood friend, who is also a daughter of close business ally. On a wedding, he is utterly unaware that the bride behind the veil who is taking marriage vows with him is not his fiancee, but a new, young cook. His bride-to-be deceived him and the worst part is, she made him married to a teenager he barely remembered. Two complete strangers. Accidental marriage and their confused marital status. This doesn't sound easy and surely doesn't sound romantic. ... Book cover credit: @wasphoria
