Our tragic hero lives a relatively normal life for someone surviving the apocalypse. He spends his time walled up in his safe house, eating canned food and watching television. He sleeps every once in a while. He thinks about tidying up his messy rooms. But he's recently incurred an abnormal problem. Nothing ever remains where he leaves it, not his keys, not his used plates, not even the television remote. And he suspects that his bizarre situation might stem from that moldy sandwich he left in the back of his fridge years ago...

Although trans* visibility has only increased in recent years, it is not a new experience. Transgressing gender boundaries is not a fad. Trans* history is as diverse and far-reaching as human civilization. In this book I will explore gender nonconformity in early Western civilization. My focus will be on stories from Late Antiquity through the early Middle Ages in Europe. Before reading, please be aware that there have been a lot of negative attitudes directed towards gender variant people throughout history. Negativity does not negate our existence! We exist today, we existed in yesteryear, and our history should no longer be ignored.

Do you prefer your magic with one or two sugars? Or maybe with a nip of whisky? Days before their father's 70th Drunkening, brothers Artemis and Oleander Trevellian learn that the price of their usual gift -- two barrels of magic -- has skyrocketed, putting it well beyond their meager budget. Rather than find another present (what else do you get the pirate who has everything?), the two set off on a rollicking adventure across the whole of the Grunnic Isles to discover what's caused the shortage. Without their Da knowing about it, of course. From Sei'ne Heasley and 2017 Watty Award winner Leigh Heasley.

"There's not a whole lot of magic left anymore, is there? The witches are melted, Cinderella's dead, and the Wolves are endangered. The fey left." ★ "Not all of them," Tilly said with a smile. ★★★ "ABC's 'ONCE UPON A TIME' meets 'SARAH, PLAIN AND TALL'" Hard times have come to Grimland since Queen Cinderella's death nearly 60 years ago, and nobody feels it more than Tilly Lafayette and her family. Despite their propensity for magic, they're just scraping by in Coleville, a deeply superstitious little smudge of a town in the foothills of the Sesmi mountains. When Mama's chronic illness suddenly worsens, Tilly must use her most powerful spell to save her, but to do so she has to leave behind everything she's ever known. ★★★ THE SEAM SORCERESS is a journey through some of the world's most beloved stories, re-imagined through the lens of Appalachian culture and Americana. Leigh Heasley (2017 Watty award winner and author of "Kairos," optioned for a TV series by eOne entertainment) weaves in personal memories and her family's unique history alongside the magic in this deeply personal tale.

[MOVED TO PATREON] It's not supposed to snow in the South Forest, but the weather in the second-emptiest corner of Shelha is not the only thing behaving strangely. When an ex-tyrant started acting up again, Sethral had hoped it meant the end of lazy days and monotonous, lengthening winters. She is starting to regret what she wished for. Winter the Mountainair has settled in the south, forfeiting her migratory habits and taking a renewed interest in a lifestyle she dropped years ago. Just why is a mystery, but then again, most things about her are. It takes a handful of new friends for Sethral to realize there are still creatures who know who Winter used to be. It takes Winter's reaction to their friendship to realize the tyrant would rather those creatures disappear. Now the peace of the forest may rest on finding those who can help reassemble the world's past and Winter's... before Winter finds them herself. ❖❖❖ Book I of the Stories of Shelha series, a work only split into books because nobody picks up an epic on Wattpad ;) Comments and critiques are welcome.
