"Geez Phil, you're clumsy x2 today." PJ chuckles holding a hand out for me, I take it and I stand up. "There's literally no one else as clumsy as me is there?" I say with a laugh brushing a bit of dirt off my jeans. "Sorry!" PJ and I turn to see a boy with brown hair picking up papers off the floor, he gets all of them and when he stands up he trips over his own foot and makes the papers fall down on the floor again. "Maybe you're wrong about that..." PJ says in between breaths of laughter. Phil Lester is prone to falling down, dropping things, and getting into many awkward situations. He's known as the class clown even though he doesn't try to be. His friends laugh at him and others feel sorry for him. It's not his fault people laugh at his clumsy weird self. But when the new boy Dan Howell proves to be just as clumsy as Phil, they may bond over their clumsiness and become great friends...maybe something more.

PREVIOUSLY CALLED PASTEL AND PUNK Dan Howell and Phil Lester are best friends, Phil being respected due to him having a punk look, and Dan being looked down upon for his own pastel one. Dan begins to receive letters, though, in his locker. They start friendly but slowly get more flirty... and Dan doesn't mind. He wonders who it is though, and even starts to wonder a few things about himself too. Who keeps sending him this letters mysteriously signed "L", and are they really as nice as they sound? It all started with a note. A little note written on a ripped peace of notebook paper that said 'Hi'. Phil just moved into town and on his first day of school he gets introduced to Dan. Dan doesn't speak and only communicates to people threw written words. Dan can speak, perfectly capable of it, but he doesn't. One day Dan stopped speaking and no one knows why. Phil becomes very interested in Dan and decides to do whatever it takes to find out why Dan doesn't speak.

Dan is gay, but not the normal gay. He wasn't gay, not bi, and definitely not straight. The only person he loved was his best friend Phil. Dan knows he needs to tell Phil, so he does. What will happen once Phil knows the truth?
