She wanted to leave. She had to leave. She had to get away from him. He was becoming violent. Not only mentally, but physically as well. It was the second time he had hit her when she decided it was time to go. The poor child, only 9 years old and she's felt so much pain. Such a young kid isn't supposed to cry by herself over her mothers death. But she did. She cried all alone, in the rain. Her father ignored his child. He had changed. And it was all her fault, in his mind. Lucy was only 8 years old when her mother passed. Layla Heartfilia. She was ill and knew she had to go sometime. And when she did, Lucy's dad changed. And she didn't realize how much he's changed until the first time her laid his hand on her. Lucy slowly began to fear her once loved father. With a past as terrible as this, Lucy thought no one would understand her. Not only that, but that no one would like her. Although she wished to run away, she didn't know where she'd go, until she found a letter her mother had wrote for her before she passed. It had a place for Lucy to go. She traveled far. Natsu's hands shook as his head bent lower, holding Lucy to him like a lifeline. "As she takes her last breaths, hold her hand in yours. Not even your flames, Salamander...or your tears....can change the inevitable!" Natsu looked up from Lucy, his eyes glowing bright red. The magic he had obtained from the natives was starting to take affect, and his blood boiled in fury. "You wanna bet?" A legend has been twisted and turned on the floating island the Daonei reside on, and it turns out the man who requested the mission wants Fairy Tail to figure out where the myth originated from, and help put a stop to an upcoming tragety. War. Without a say, everyone is dragged into a fight to the death. There is much more going on at the floating island thank anyone realized, and the only way to stop the new enemy is to put an end to the island. But how will they do such a thing, when they find out Lucy and Natsu are the only ones who can do it? And...when they figure out Lucy means something to the Daonei people? #272 in FAN FICTION (12/12/16) Studying in the school the same as a famous heartthrob was thought to be lucky, especially if you're a girl. But for Lucy, it's a definite misfortune. Lucy Heartfilia, typical nerd, a tough heart and pretty much what you would expect from the school's number one smart student. Natsu, on the other hand is the complete opposite of her character. He's a slack-off when studying, said to be drop dead gorgeous (imagines Lucy's snort) and those easy girls falling for just the looks. Forced in a situation where she definitely wished she wasn't in, her life is flipped in different directions, driving her to a path she never knew she would end up in. Hold on your seatbelts as the story of these two polar opposites won't be such a pretty sight. *read at your own risk as this story was made when I was in the fifth grade, eleven years old so cringer grammar.
