17-year-old Tacoma’s little sister is brutally raped and murdered on her way home from school. Devastated with grief, and not thinking clearly, he let his best friend turn him into a vampire. Equipped with super natural powers, Tacoma sets out on a bloody quest to punish his sister’s killers. Along for the ride are his best friend Raider, Slow Poke and Starburst (also vampires). It doesn’t take long before they attract attention with their killing spree, and things get quickly out of hand. Gangpire is aimed to reach adult urban and street literature readers in the horror genre. The story is character driven, written in prose language, shock and awe oriented; but also includes witty humor and some romance.

Oakland streets are rampant with small time players trying to make a name for themselves. Tacoma has seen it all. Two years after the streets of Oakland were turned upside down after he became a vampire, he has evolved into a street legend. Now, as his life continues to change, Tacoma has new battles to face. With an impending wedding and baby on the way, he must travel across the globe and forge a plan to explain to Helen's parents how he tainted his future bride by turning her into a vampire. That feat is minor compared to Elleguás challenge he must meet to bring his murdered sister back to life. Tacoma will be send back in time to defeat a younger Caesar in prehistoric Ethiopia and in return Elleguá promises to release Seattle from his crossroad. If he fails, he, Helen, and Mama Marcella will never be able to return to their current time frame. Tribal hunters, were-hyenas, evil vampire lords, and the constant need to feed their newborn vampire baby fresh blood makes the mission a doomed gore fest from the beginning. They band with a pack of hyenas and during their journey Tacoma learns he carries the genetic trait of a were-hyena. A trait that reflects visibly in their baby boy. Meanwhile back in Oakland, Slow Poke and Iron Head are visited by emissaries of a governing vampire sect called the Honored Elders. The message was a disrespectful ultimatum regarding Helen, to which Slow Poke and Iron Head answer in their usual way. Murder. And thus provoke a looming vampire war waiting for Tacoma, Helen, and Mama Marcella when they return to Oakland. If they even make it back to Oakland.

When Tacoma finds out that the Honored Elders gave his wife, Helen, an ultimatum under a death threat he asks her to hide with Seattle and his son Menelik as he plunges head first into preparations for war. He blackmails FBI agent Shane Tyson to give him the classified weaponry used to kill vampires. Tacoma sends Iron Head and Slow Poke to different cities to recruit new GANGPIRE disciples, while he and Raider join forces with a vampire revolutionary group called The Modern Collective. Yes, Raider is back and asserts himself to be Tacoma's right hand again. It seems as if the Gangpire gang has it all figured out, and then chaos erupts. Helen's hide out was the farthest thing from safe, Iron Head gets unexpectedly side tracked on his mission, and Slow Poke can't find enough soldiers on his out of state trip. After becoming separated from Helen, Seattle disobeys her brother and takes the mischievous Menelik and his pet hyena to the exact place Tacoma didn't want them to be, Oakland, California, which turns into a fiasco within itself. Starburst resurfaces to wreak havoc, and on top of all that Tacoma learns that he himself is a bigger danger to his family and friends than his adversaries are. Find out who will survive this anarchic journey of torture, slaughter, and black magic as new enemies are established, old feuds are rekindled, and friends become traitors in this final installment of the critically praised Gangpire trilogy.
