It's just an ordinary day for octogenarian sleuth Myrtle Clover-until her yardman discovers a dead body planted in her backyard. This death isn't cut and dried-the victim was bashed in the head with one of Myrtle's garden gnomes. Myrtle's friend Miles recognizes the body and identifies him as Charles Clayborne... reluctantly admitting he's a cousin. Charles wasn't the sort of relative you bragged about-he was a garden variety sleaze, which is very likely why he ended up murdered. As Myrtle starts digging up dirt to nip the killings in the bud, someone's focused on scaring her off the case. Myrtle vows to find the murderer...before she's pushing up daisies, herself.

THE Max Faraday Chronicles by Jeff Graham The story so far. Who am I and why should you read my story? My name is Max Faraday Nobody is going to believe me but here I am putting it all down on paper. I am a man of two presents or time periods. Forgive me this Sci-Fi stuff is new to me. A week or more ago I came home for my 1982 High School Reunion in July 2002. I was staying with my friend Jamie Scott and his family. They hate guns. On the way home from the Reunion we picked up his kids at the babysitters. The little girl gets out and bounces a ball and it fumbles out of her hands and rolls into the street. Just as I was getting out, a car speeds up my instincts take over and I get her picked up and out of the way! I was then hit by the speeding car! Lying paralyzed or stunned I then wake up in September of 1978! I am a Thirty-eight year old man in a fourteen year old body! I can’t tell anyone or they would lock me up that kid is crazy! I know I would. So here I am Thirteen- Fourteen in the eighth grade all over again. I went to bed in 1978 and woke up in a coma in 2002. I had friends come and visit me but I could not move they thought I was a vegetable. My mind went back to 1978 and I learn to deal with my situation. Eventually I get out of the coma in 2002 and become a local County Police Officer. Getting the job was not that hard I was an up and coming Detective in Chicago. Did I mention I did Black Ops in the CIA? Can’t tell you much more than that, then I would have to kill you. And I am a Marine Core Mechanic to boot. Semper Fi. I may even be a Genetically Mutated Sleeper Agent for the CIA name Black Phoenix. I am still trying to figure that one out. “Stay tuned.”
