"Sisterhood, food, and spelling... that's all that matters in life." Laura Cooper has always felt like a half, and her other side is her twin sister, Allie. Two of everything. Two beds, two pairs of jeans, two homework assignments, two times the fun. But there's only one Spelling Bee Champ. The girls discover they have a knack for Spelling during a preliminary bee... but can the Cooper twins go all the way? As they rely on nerve, skill, and most of all each other, to climb their way to become the Spelling Sisters, tension between the girls rises. At the National Spelling bee, only one contestant can shine. Only one half of the Cooper twins. One must step in front of the other, causing the other one to not be seen. Causing a total eclipse.

Update: This story has been discontinued. - I am terribly sorry. Your mother lied to you. She told you that you were unique, and that as a teenager you have a whole bunch of options you can choose from to determine who you want to be. She must have been high. Look, I'm going to tell you this honestly. Somewhere out there in this floating sphere of green and blue, there's a person who acts just like you. It's the combinations of different personalities - which eventually lead up to an actual human being - that makes us all unique. But it can't hurt to find out where your personality stems from, right? Wanna know who you are? I'll help you out. There are 36 students in my classroom. Which one are you?

Haley White and Taylor Cooper have been best friends since they were only 5-years-old. The two live in New York City, and walk to each other's houses every day. That is, they used to. Until Taylor's family moves away in the middle of the school year. Now, with Taylor living in Florida, over 1,000 miles away from her best friend, letters are what keeps them connected. Taylor doesn't have a cell phone, and Haley's house doesn't have a land line... making it seem as if the universe wants them to write to one another. The girls write notes back and forth for a while, but it starts to feel like Haley's letters are taking longer and longer each time. Almost to the point where there's no sense for Taylor to write to her. What has popularity done to Haley, and moving done to Taylor? And what does it mean for their friendship? The middle schoolers must attempt to pick up the pieces of a shattered friendship and glue it back together if they want the letters to continue. But do they? (Note: this book is completely unedited)
