This is the story of two men, a prince and a loyal man-servant, trying to find acceptance and happiness whilst holding onto their love for each other in a very difficult and unaccepting world. Will their love for each other be enough? Arthur Pendragon is the prince and Merlin is his man-servant. Set in an alternative universe of the BBC Merlin where nearly everything is the same except Merlin and Arthur are together (in secret of course) and Merlin doesn't have his magic. While on a camping trip, Merlin was obviously exhausted as he'd been acting strange all day. As he falls asleep, Gwaine finds a small leather bound journal hidden away in the servants coat, which he soon learns is a journal. He reads a few to himself, then to the Knights. They all soon realize how sad and how seemingly alone Merlin believes he is. They all realize, just how little they know about Merlin. [Hint: The Knights and Arthur learn about Freya!]

Arthur didn't die in the last episode of merlin, Merlin managed to save him and get him back to Camelot. However, Merlin has feelings for Arthur, so strong that he struggles to hide it. But Arthur has his own problems and his own broken heart that maybe even Merlin can't heal.
