Samara Harlow did not expect her life to change when she moved to Beacon Hills, California. Perhaps that was her first mistake, being so naive regarding a town with such horrific travel blog reviews, but it certainly wasn't the worst one she made during her first week. That was definitely- wait, we should probably clarify why Sam moved in the first place. That's how these things go, right? Teenager moves to mysterious town, expects it not to be mysterious & what do you know? She's shocked to find that, holy shit, it is mysterious! Beacon Hills is no exception, but of course, Samara's father deemed it the perfect place to move. It was far away from the freezing Canadian winters they knew all too well, and the cost of living was confusingly low. Hell, their two-story house didn't even ring in at six-figures, and it wasn't falling apart like their old one. How could they not move? Who cares that the move triggers a disturbing recurring dream for Sam? Not her dad, that's for sure- the only thing he seems to care about anymore is guns, and hunting. But the weird kid in her biology class? He cares a little too much. [Teen Wolf - 6B] © 2017 // Aly aka @insatiabIe

❝Contrary to the popular belief, there's a very thin & fragile line between saying too much, and saying too little. More often than not, you'll find yourself unable to balance on that line & tipping to one side or the other, before inevitable falling. Whether or not there will be something there to catch you, that depends on how much was left unspoken.❞ There are things in life that we swear we'll never do. Some people pledge never to lie, others promise never to tell a secret; but of course, with a little time & persuasion, doing the action they vowed never to do is inevitable. Nearly everyone has made promises with a genuine sincerity in their hearts, only to later go & smash their promise to fragments with a sledgehammer- it's just what people do. No matter how hard they try & resist, if the thought remains bubbling in their mind for long enough, it's bound to boil over eventually Rachel Hale wanted to stay true to her promise. She swore she'd never go back to Beacon Hills after a fire killed nearly all of her family, yet when one of her two surviving siblings was brutally murdered within the confines of the town, she couldn't help herself; not after the arsonist who burned her life to the ground walked free. Alongside her older brother, Rachel went back to the damned town, & almost instantly fell head over heels into chaos- and took a whole lot of people with her. Before she even knew what hit her, she was fighting not only for her own life, but for the innocent people who didn't belong in a supernatural world like hers; innocent people she began to care more about than she was willing to admit. Unfortunately, for someone like Rachel who knows just how quickly everything she loves can be destroyed in a town like Beacon Hills, caring may turn out to be her biggest mistake. ❝What's so great about sanity? I don't see you having any fun.❞ When asked to define insanity, a great majority of the Eichen House staff would direct the questioner to a petite brunette by the name of Lita Mitchell. In a building comprised of clinically insane people, too dangerous to roam freely within society, the self-proclaimed lost cause was highlighted like no other. A cold blooded killer like many others, her abnormality came in the form of her mind; her incapability to feel guilt of any form. Logically- she would be locked up in the closed unit, safe & sound in her own complimentary straight jacket. But within the illogical & frequently violent walls of Eichen House, everyone knew that wasn't about to happen any time soon. Crazy had yet to be proven contagious, therefore they saw no reason to isolate her- or prevent her from befriending their newest resident. An insomniac with terrifying hallucinations, he seemed innocent enough; surely no harm could result from allowing him to befriend the notorious Lita Mitchell. Then again, they hadn't met the demon in his head. [season 3B] © 2015 // Aly aka @insatiabIe

Remaining both physically & mentally intact within the confines of Beacon Hills wasn't always a struggle for Rachel Hale. There was a time when the town had been her home, a place she'd never so much as consider leaving for more than a short vacation. A time when she had a family, an actual home where she could feel safe at all times & a best friend she tell anything to. For awhile, Rachel was starting to believe she could have that again. Her time in London had come to an end as the beginning of junior year neared, and for a whole week, Rachel had believed that maybe, just maybe, she'd be able to continue on with the normalcy she'd had for the past two months. Beacon Hills had supposedly been the epitome of boring for the entire duration of her absence, and Rachel had truly believed it would remain so in her presence. Her brother had moved into a new loft, she was starting junior year with her best friends & no one was trying to kill them- it was everything she could ask for. But as the story goes, all good things must come to an end; especially when Rachel's friends & family are no longer the scariest things lurking in the shadows. New threats are in Beacon Hills & this time, they're a lot more sinister. An alpha pack wants Derek & they're willing to paint the town in the blood of everyone he cares about in order to get him; all while a dark druid is running about, adding to the body count with its ritualistic sacrifices. Innocent people are dying, time is running out & everyone seems to think Rachel holds the key to stopping it- unfortunately, they're forgetting a crucial piece of information. Reflectors are just as breakable as their object counterparts. [3A & 3B - Unspoken sequel] © 2016 // Aly aka @insatiabIe
