Cassie didn't expect her school to send a permission form home for a field trip to Scotland. She didn't expect her parents to agree. Cassie expected a long plane trip and rainy weather. If some one had told her that she would chase blue fairy-like creatures into an ancient forest she would have laughed in their face. Cassie was gets sent back in time to a place where scotish warriors battled daily and women where locked away and expected to obey men without question. How will a twenty-first century teenager handle this drastic difference ?

Amy is a zoologist who just happens to have the coolest job imaginable. She works with dinosaurs. As a top care-taker at Jurassic World, she works with several creatures as the park blossoms into one of the world's largest visited amusement parks. Her favorite is possibly the largest -a male Spinosaurus named Seether. She has raised him since he hatched, like many of the other dinosaurs, and she is completely unprepared when the Indominus Rex escapes from its enclosure. She also has raised the Indominus Rex and her sister; with her assistance, Indominus's sister wasn't eaten by her. Now there's two genetic dinosaur hybrids of the lose. Suddenly, Amy finds that not all dinosaurs are ones that she can save.
