[Book Two of the Strength Of Will arc] Many moons has passed since Talonclaw's death. RiverClan is thriving again under the rule of Cloudstar. Shadeheart finds himself leading RiverClan when Cloudstar falls to greencough. When Cloudstar heals,he invites a rogue to RiverClan. Shadeheart is not impressed by this decision.

But his strength changes when a mysterious cat visits him in his dreams. Darkness falls on his Clan when he becomes the leader,and his treachery threatens to grip the forest in permanent cold.

As Hollowheart is torn from ThunderClan,he lives as a traitor to his former Clanmates. Hostility grows and tension rises from ShadowClan that may infect all the four Clans. Hollowheart finds it difficult and is forced to be loyal towards his father.

The four Clans which had settled in the forest many moons ago are thriving under the watchful eye of StarClan. But when secrets are revealed, the Clans gradually fade to history. Note: This takes place in the forest territories.
