Melody Daniels had never been particularly social. She figured being in the background wasn't so bad as long as she had her piano, fictional characters, and Julian Black, her best friend. She didn't have any time for normal teenage things, anyways, because she was attempting to get a music scholarship to pay her way through college. But Julian is determined to change that. College was drawing painfully close, and he wanted her to finally break out of her shell. What better way than to forcefully drag her to parties, set her up with his friends, and attempt to overhaul her wardrobe? When Julian proposes his crazy plan to her, she is completely, one hundred percent opposed. He doesn't have any time to be setting her up with people as he directs the school's production of Romeo and Juliet, but that's not the only reason Mel is skeptical about his plan. Little does Julian know, Mel’s had a crush on him since seventh grade. But she can’t tell him that. So she goes along with his scheme to get her dates and drag her to repulsive high school parties. When she meets enigmatic and sarcastic Zane, however, she starts to wonder if Julian's scheme - and Julian himself - is actually worth it. Who ever said high school wasn't fun?

It started on Wattpad but now is EVERYWHERE! With a bestselling book by WWBG, a captivating Webcomic on Webtoon, and a film adaptation by Wattpad WEBTOON studios, you can read, scroll, or watch - there's an experience for everyone to dive into Waverly and Blake's journey. ***** In order to fit in during her summer visit to a beachside town, Waverly must take swimming lessons from Blake, the moody (but gorgeous) lifeguard next door. ***** Seventeen-year-old Waverly Lyons is from Alaska. She doesn't do sun. But after her divorced parents can't agree on who gets to have her for the summer, Waverly gets shipped off to Holden, Florida, to spend a couple months with her aunt, Rachel. There's one minor hiccup: Blake Hamilton, Rachel's seventeen-year-old neighbor. He's athletic, outgoing, arrogant, tan, and pretty much Waverly's exact opposite. She's eager to avoid him at all costs, hoping to fit in with the other kids in Holden without drawing too much attention to herself. But when Blake discovers that Waverly has been hiding the rather embarrassing secret that she can't swim, he does the unthinkable: He offers to teach her. [[word count: 100,000-150,000 words]]
