Marley used to be normal. She had a high paying job as a psychiatrist, a stable relationship and was completely sane. However, not everyone's life ends up perfect and Marlene was one of those people. The blonde had developed cancer and she went into the Weapon X program in hopes to cure it. That didn't end as well as she hoped it would, but it caused her to meet Wade Wilson, a man much like her new self. You were another individual who was promised something from the terrible organization that was Weapon-X. Going into it you thought nothing of it, but once you were exposed to the true horrors of the organization and what they did to people for their own personal gain, you were sickened. 24 year old Irene, a.k.a. Iris, doesn't know what to do with her messy life. She has lost all contact with her family and basically has no friends besides her coworkers at her job which happens to be one of the biggest businesses in America. To make matters worse, she is being romantically pursued by her egotistic boss. Deadpool, a.k.a. Wade Wilson on the other hand, is as happy as a clam with his insane life and personality. And, he's friends with New York's favorite guy, Spider-Man! Throughout the story, Deadpool will not only have to deal with the evil villian, Venom, but he will also have to deal with his own inner demons. Iris will also have to face many challenges that will test her limits, and her heart. One thing for sure is the outcome of this ticking time bomb will change both Iris and Deadpool, forever.
