The other is Yukime Kuwano, a professional henchman who seems to live and breathe secrets. She’s been his lover for two years, and she’s searching for something in this world or the next. Slade wants his daughter to continue her training and follow in his footsteps. Knowing how little Rose trusts him, he's come up with the perfect bait to lure her back: someone she can trust. A new mother. Yukie is all the things he isn't--warm, reliable, and kind. Yukie thinks she's taking her lover on vacation to Japan as a way of saying goodbye to both him and the world. Her interest in the supernatural is leading her places where there is no turning back. But when Rose unexpectedly joins them in Tokyo, they bond so quickly and so naturally it's like they're already a family, just as Slade planned. The question now is: Who will get what they want, and what are they willing to sacrifice to get it? (Busy being rewritten into an original story called 'Snowblood' in the hopes I can get it published.)
