(The first installment in the 'My Life' series.) "Whoever said, 'the more you lie, the easier it gets' was wrong. It doesn't get easier. It gets harder. Because sooner or later, the lies will suffocate you until you're just an empty shell waiting to die. I should know. I'm already halfway there." - Isabella Meet Isabella Ace, a 250 pound girl who was voted the 'ugliest girl' by her peers at Woodway Prep--a school for the rich. Sick of all the bullies, mostly Thomas Reed--the arrogant airhead and all around douchebag, she decided enough was enough. One year later, she's back, better than ever, and ready for revenge. This is the story of Salim and Kayal. They are from Tamil Nadu, India and they meet in Delhi. This is a romance story but I have tried to talk about our culture, people, politics, food and traditions through this story. Enjoy how two people who fall in love with each other, try to balance their principles, family and love in their lives. This is not a fairy tale of a blushing girl and a Prince Charming. I have tried to create a story as realistic as possible but at the same time I have made sure that my readers would smile at the end of every chapter. LOVE DOES EXIST. The main character is a Muslim. But, you can enjoy this book even if you are not a Muslim. I have attached Glossary and reference as the second last chapter. So, if you have any doubts about the terms used, please check it out. Best Rank till now - Number 8 in Spiritual on 19th of August, 2016 Content warning - Slightly mature content in few chapters. (Don't worry I will warn you at the beginning of the chapter). No Graphic Description. P.S. If you are expecting a South Indian story of forced marriage to a cousin, then sorry my book is not for you. My characters are thinking, matured and independent adults. If you have a fair knowledge about Indian Geography, Tamil Nadu and Politics directly skip to fourth chapter from where both the main characters meet.

It's early summer, and in a small community on the central Jersey Shore, a black car screeches to a halt outside the Wright Bros grocery. Danny looks up from where he's working at the carwash to see the driver rifle out of the car and chase a girl rushing into the store. For some reason-fate perhaps or intuition-he decides to cross the lot and investigate. When he meets Mary, there is a great deal Danny doesn't know, but he certainly knows that he's been struck. For it's like the keys to an old car had been dropped into his hands and is about to start the engine that will forever alter the outcome of their lives. Some Place Better Than Here is a gritty, unflinching look at how we define family and come to grips with loss. It's about growing up in a small town, following your dreams, and mapping out the uneven ground that often lays between love, friendship, and sexual awakening.
