A girl named Dominique Lotner, who is bullied by her class mates and most students of her school, has a crush on the most popular guy in her high school, but she knows she can't be with him. Dominique also suffers living with her always drunk adoptive father and an adoptive mother who is on drugs. She gets beaten up and wants to suicide.
