Aubri hates the label and doesn't understand that just because he parents are immigrants, doesn't make her any different. God made all people equal right? Aubri never gets a break with the racial slurs and the assumptions, until a guy, seems to be oblivious to what everyone else says about her and her friends. He just sees the person she is on the inside.

Well, this is my story as a teen Christian. I love Jesus but I don't like how I am judged by adults about it. It's common topics such as forgiveness, temptation, betrayal, love. This story is very much non-fiction, it's about me and what has happened in my life with no exaggerations.

It's not that I didn't know there was a God. I knew there was. There were just some things that I've gone through that's made me have some doubts. I actually used to be a really big, devoted christian, but of course no ones life is perfect. A lot of people look to God to help them get through the hard times, but I guess I just did the exact opposite. Never in a million years did I think I would start going to church again and rebuilding my relationship with God, but I did, and I absolutely never thought that I would fall in love with the pastor's son!!

"Could you get the songs on the stands for me?" "Sure," I said, taking the two folders out of his backpack. I opened each one and had started placing the music on the stands when I heard the door open. I expected it to be either Carly, Denver or Amanda, but when I turned around, I saw that it was my mother. Her hair was wild and her eyes frightened as she opened her mouth to speak.
