Christopher Maurice Brown grew up having to fend for himself. Meaning that he did whatever he had to do to make money. Even if that meant he had to sell drugs. He never was the most well behaved student in school, but he did his work. He knew that if getting good grades and going to college meant he got out of the hood, he'd do that too. And he did. He gets accepted in Syracuse University and that's where the trouble begins. He's repetitively kicked out of classes, suspended, dropped out of courses, and threatened with expulsion. When he has to work with Abelle Jones, an average girl from a middle class home in Ithaca, New York, on a Marine Biology project he sees the potential opportunity to seek help from her.
