She presses the barrel of the gun into my skull, a dull ache in the back of my head. "Take one more step and I'll blow your bloody brains," she hisses. The girl's breathing is heavy, her voice unsteady. She's nervous. Although I cannot see her, I can only imagine the fear she possesses. I'm stronger than her. She is weak. "You won't." I taunt her with a laugh. "You won't shoot me." Her finger wraps around the trigger slowly and retaliates, jerking the trigger with a desperate move. The gun fires. A flicker of light. Bright yellows and red. A shout from the barrel. But the bullet never rips through my flesh. Instead the gun mends to my will. I concentrate on it. The weapon, along with it's bullet are suspended is motion, completely lifeless. ----------------- Years ago the human culture as was once known by us shattered to pieces. It was then that humans decided to rely among themselves. Creating divisions based on their adopted race. No rulers. No leaders. No superiors. It was a disaster. Catastrophe. Wars upon wars. Death. An experience that no five year old boy should ever have to witness. Let alone one from the stars. Visions given to him by his own mind. I was assigned to help them. To restore order to humans.
