"I know you Jamie...better than anyone-even Rick. That's funny huh? I know you more than your best friend?" My first attempt at horror in the form short story

Based in the turn of human civilization to post apocalyptic survival: Blake Mayfield, a typical plastic surgeon in a major city, fights for his life and lives of others in a suspenseful story. However, how can one stay sane when you fight for the for the survival of those who might have a death certificate around the corner? Necessities are key objects for survival, but at what point do they become luxuries?
