The way things seem to unfold is an unchanging theme. It is not one of suffering, or one of success, but one of constant evolution. Some live in simpler times, while others live in an era of famine and war. The cycle is unchanging, and unchangeable. You are born, you will live to the best of your ability, and you will die. You may live in an era of self-realization and enlightenment, or in an era filled with blood-thirsty conquistadors aiming to push you ever so forcefully from your only home. You may be born to the oppressed or born to the oppressors. You have no choice in where you are born and where you die, but you have a choice in how you live.

Senior year is portrayed as the most important year of your high school career. The rules no longer apply to the soon to be graduating class. It's an absolute free-for-all, right? My name is Blake Francesca Erin, and I'm here to tell you that this is all wrong. Senior year is not the best year of your life. It may actually be the worst. The rules still apply to you. Unless, of course, you're part of the elite group that has gotten to do anything they wanted since third grade. I, Blake Erin, am not part of said elite group, and with a mixture of old friends, new lovers, past flames, and arising tention, I can tell it's going to be a very long year.
